Can the dubagest progestrone still require in 5month pregnancy?
My prescription had progesterone from early pregnancy and now I am in 5th month. I forgot to ask clearly at last visit whether to continue or stop. Has anyone's gynac kept it for this long?
This really depends on why it was started for you. Some continue it, some stop earlier. Honestly the only right answer here is from your treating gynac, please ring up the clinic and confirm.
In my pregnancy I was on progesterone support quite long and my doctor decided when to taper it. Everyone is different, it depends on your history and reports. Please ask the same doctor who prescribed it, dont change anything yourself.
Pls dont stop or continue this on your own. These progesterone supports are given for specific reasons and only your gynac knows if you still need it at 5 months. Call her and ask directly, this is not something to guess about.
I had progesterone too and I learnt not to assume anything about these meds. Whether you still need it at 5 months is purely your doctors call based on your scans. Better to check than to stop and regret.
