My doctor put me on progesterone support after my reports and now im just curious about how it all works. Can having too much of it ever be a problem, or does the body manage it? Not stopping anything, just want to understand better.
I had progesterone support too because of my history, and honestly I learnt not to second guess the dose. The doctor adjusts it based on your reports. If you feel side effects or are worried its too high, just call and ask them, dont decide on your own.
I was on progesterone support during my IVF pregnancy, and my doctor monitored the dose closely. They prescribe it for a reason and adjust as needed, so please dont worry or change anything on your own. If you have concerns about your dose, ask the doctor who prescribed it, they balance it carefully.
From what my gynac explained, progesterone is actually needed to support early pregnancy and they prescribe it when levels are low. The dosing is decided by your doctor based on tests. I wouldnt self-judge whether its too much, just follow the prescribed amount and ask them if you feel off.
This is really a question for your doctor since progesterone is given in specific doses for specific reasons. Dont stop or reduce it yourself thinking its too much, that can be risky. Ring your gynac and ask them to explain your levels and dose.
