I usually love tuna and had it often before but now im 3 months pregnant and a bit scared about fish during this time. Heard mixed things about it. anyone been told its fine or not safe?
Tuna in moderation and fully cooked is generally fine, just not large amounts due to mercury concerns. I preferred smaller fish more often instead. Best to confirm the quantity with your own doctor since advice varies.
My doctor told me to limit tuna because certain fish can have higher mercury, so not too often. Well cooked and in small amounts occasionally is what she said was okay. Avoid the raw or undercooked stuff completely though.
I personally just ate it occasionally and made sure it was properly cooked, never raw. Cant say medically but I kept it limited to be safe. For specifics id ask the gynac.
