Can urinary tract infection cause false positive pregnancy test?
I had a burning sensation while peeing for few days and around same time my test showed a faint line. Now im doubting if the uti messed up the result somehow. Has this happened with anyone?
Please dont ignore a suspected UTI in any case, treated or not it needs a doctor. The pregnancy line and the infection are two different things. Get checked for both if you are unsure, especially with burning or pain.
A UTI itself doesnt really cause a false positive on a pregnancy test, that line comes from the pregnancy hormone. But a UTI can give similar symptoms like frequent peeing which confuses people. If you have burning while peeing, get the urine tested, that's separate.
