Can uti in pregnancy affect the baby?

Got diagnosed with a uti this week, im 5 months along. Doc started treatment but im honestly worried whether it reached the baby in any way. Has anyone gone through this, was baby ok?

Please dont self treat this one. Any burning while peeing or fever, straight to ur gynac for a urine test. Caught early its very manageable.

I totally understand worrying about baby with this. The good news is doctors treat it easily when u go in time. Just dont delay, get tested and u will both be okay.

I had a UTI in pregnancy and my doctor treated it quickly because untreated ones can cause problems. Please dont ignore burning or fever, get it checked fast. Treated in time, mine was totally fine.

My gynac said UTIs in pregnancy should be treated promptly because if left they can lead to complications. She gave me a urine test and a pregnancy safe antibiotic. The point is dont sit on it, treat it early under doctor care.
