Caught a cold this week and my chest feels heavy at night. MIL keeps saying just rub vicks but i wasnt sure if its ok in pregnancy. Did any of u use it?
I used vicks on chest and back both my pregnancies for blocked nose, totally fine. Just dont put it inside the nostrils and avoid swallowing it. External rub is okay.
Haan applying on chest and feet at night helps with cold, I did this for my daughters too. But for fever or bad cough better to ask the doctor before taking anything, vicks is only for that blocked feeling.
I was worried about this too! Did anyone use the inhaler stick wala vicks? I find that easier than the balm but not sure if its okay, will ask my doc also.
Small amount externally on chest or throat is generally considered okay, but honestly if your cold is bad pls just mention it to your gynac. They can tell you whats safe for your stage.
My amma always rubbed a bit on my chest and steam with it helped a lot during cold. Safe externally na, but if cough or fever doesnt go in 2 days do see your doctor.
