I love adding a little vinegar in my salads and noodles but now im 2nd trimester and thoda confused. MIL said avoid it but i dont know if thats true. Anyone using it normally?
Haan, thoda bohot food me dal ke kha sakte ho, koi problem nahi hai. But direct peena ya apple cider vinegar bina dilute kiye bilkul mat lena, acidity badh jayegi na. Normal Chinese kha rahe ho toh taste ke liye chalta hai.
I was so terrified of food poisoning that I stopped eating anything with vinegar in my first trimester! It's actually safe if pasteurized, but if you're feeling anxious, just skip it for a few weeks to keep your peace of mind.
I totally understand how these random food cravings can make you question everything you eat! Just make sure whatever vinegar you use is pasteurized so it's safe for your sweet little baby.
Beta, having a little bit of synthetic vinegar in food occasionally is fine, but don't drink it directly or take too much. For acidity or digestion, light lemon water or a little bit of dahi is much safer and better for the baby.
Please be careful with what you consume, especially if you have a sensitive stomach or other issues. I had a very tough pregnancy and learned to check everything with my doctor first. It is always better to call your gynac before trying something new.
Honestly, during my pregnancy, I wanted vinegar on everything from noodles to salads, literally! Just make sure it is not raw or unpasteurized. Otherwise, eat peacefully and get some sleep now, because later you won't get any, trust me!
Pasteurized vinegar like regular white vinegar is totally fine in normal food amounts. Just avoid raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar because of bacteria risks. If you are using it for home remedies, better to run it by your gynac first.
