There is a function coming up and I really want to put mehndi but my cousin said avoid chemical ones. im 5 months now. Is normal natural mehndi ok during this time? Anyone applied it while pregnant?
Natural mehndi should be okay, but if u have sensitive skin do a small patch test first. And honestly if u r unsure about anything during pregnancy, a quick word with ur doctor never hurts.
Natural mehndi on hands is fine beta, women have done it for generations during pregnancy. Just avoid the black 'chemical' mehndi, that one can irritate skin. Stick to the plain green henna.
Pure natural henna is okay, i did it for a function while pregnant. The thing to avoid is the readymade black cones with chemicals, those can cause allergy. Check the ingredients before applying.
My MIL applied mehndi on me during my godh bharai and it was totally fine. She just made sure it was the natural one from a trusted person, no black chemical wala. Sweet memory actually.
