I was taking ovral g for some months and now we want to start trying. Bit confused if conceiving is possible while still on it or i have to stop first. Anyone here had experience with this pill?
I have PCOS and my doctor had put me on a pill for some time. When we planned for baby she told me to stop and wait a couple of cycles. Everyone is different so honestly only your doc can guide your exact case, dont go by general advice.
I was also confused about this when we started trying. My gynac told me to completely stop the pill first and then track ovulation. Maybe ask your doctor the same, they explain it nicely without judging.
Generally these combined pills are taken to avoid pregnancy, not to help conceive. If you stopped midway or skipped, there can be a chance, but it is unpredictable. Best is to confirm your plan with the doctor who prescribed it.
Ovral G is a birth control pill, so while taking it correctly it is meant to prevent pregnancy. If you actually want to conceive you usually stop it and let your cycle settle first. Please talk to your gynac before stopping or starting anything.
