I used to cycle daily before and i really miss it now, im in 2nd trimester. Not sure if its safe to continue or i should just stop fully. Anyone here kept cycling during pregnancy?
Actually, standard walking is the best and cheapest exercise during pregnancy. Outdoor cycling has a high risk of accidents, which can lead to emergency hospital visits and heavy medical bills. Stick to safe walks at home or in a park.
I totally understand your desire to stay active, but outdoor cycling is very risky due to the balance issue and falling hazard. Your little one is so precious, so please avoid it for now. You can try safe indoor stationary cycling after asking your gynac.
Skip outdoor cycling completely, it's just not worth the risk of falling or sudden jerks on Indian roads. If you really want to cardio, stick to stationary gym bikes and that too under proper trainer supervision and doctor's clearance.
I am trying to conceive and my doctor suggested avoiding high-impact activities like outdoor cycling just to be safe. Maybe gentle walks or light stretching is a much safer option for your body right now.
