Ek tooth has been paining for a while and i kept ignoring it, now im 6 months along. Scared to get any dental work done during pregnancy. Did anyone here get a tooth treated while pregnant? was it ok?
My dentist and gynac both told me that basic dental cleaning and fillings are safe, especially in the second trimester. However, they avoid major procedures or X-rays unless it is an emergency.
Oh, I had tooth pain during my pregnancy and worried so much about the anesthesia! It is safe in the second trimester, but please consult your gynac first to be completely sure.
My hospital has an in-house dental department and they coordinate directly with my gynac. It's always best to ask your gynac for a clearance note before any dental work.
