My period is due in 4 days and I am getting impatient yaar. I have mild cramps and breast pain but it may be PMS also. Has anyone tested before missed period and got correct result?
You can but it may show wrong if too early. Best to wait till the day your period is due or a couple days after, and test with morning urine. Earlier than that the result isn't reliable.
My doctor said the test detects hCG which takes time to rise, so testing before the missed period can give false negative. She told me to wait at least till the due date, and if still unsure a blood test (beta hCG) is more accurate.
I was so impatient and tested 3 days before my period, it showed faint negative and I felt crushed. Then tested again after a week and it was clearly positive! So waiting really is better, the early one fooled me.
