I enjoy swimming for exercise and relaxation. Is it safe to continue swimming during pregnancy, or are there any risks involved that I should be aware of?
I did light swimming in my second trimester and it really helped my back. But since I ended up having a C-section, my doctor told me to stay out of the water completely post-delivery until the stitches healed fully. It takes time but you will get back to it.
My MIL was totally shocked when I mentioned swimming and said it's not safe during this time! But my doctor said it's actually excellent exercise if the pregnancy is smooth. So I compromised and just did light walks to keep everyone happy at home.
Hamare wahan toh swimming pools nahi hote the, but doctor told me soft walking is very good. If you know how to swim, do ask your doctor first before going. Take care of yourself, dear.
Carrying twins made me feel like a heavy boat, so water was the only place I felt weightless! It is actually great for back pain, but do get your doctor's okay first. And please don't try any crazy water stunts!
Swimming can be great, but make sure the pool is super clean because catching an infection means extra hospital visits and expensive tests. Honestly, simple walking in a park is totally free and much safer for the budget and health.
Swimming is wonderful for the body, but only if you have no complications or pain. If you ever feel any cramps, dizziness, or spot any bleeding, stop immediately and call your gynac. Otherwise, enjoy your active time.
