The acidity these days is killing me yaar, especially after meals. Before pregnancy I used to just take eno but now im scared to take anything. Is it safe or should I ask my gynac first?
My tracking app strictly advised against taking Eno because of its high sodium levels, which can lead to swelling (edema). I started having coconut water and jeera water instead for digestion. It's much safer!
Eno is generally not advised because of the sodium bicarbonate content. For mild acidity, try drinking cold milk, coconut water, or small meals throughout the day. If it's very bad, ask your gynac to prescribe a pregnancy-safe antacid.
Beta, don't drink these packet sodas during pregnancy, they are not good for the baby. If you have acidity, chew a little green cardamoms (elaichi) or drink warm water with fennel seeds. It is much safer and natural.
Oh my god, I almost drank Eno once during my first trimester and then panicked and searched the internet for hours! It contains high sodium which can increase your blood pressure and cause swelling. Please ask your doctor before drinking it, better to avoid!
Acidity is the worst, especially after eating spicy biryani! But my doctor told me to avoid Eno because of the high salt content. I switched to cold milk or chewing some fennel seeds (saunf) instead, which actually worked wonders.
Honestly, avoid Eno. It has high sodium bicarbonate which can cause water retention and spike your blood pressure. If you have severe acidity, just ask your gynac for a safe antacid gel instead of self-medicating.
Actually, Eno is not recommended during pregnancy, yaar. The sodium levels are too high and it's not good for your blood pressure. Just have some thanda dhoodh or consult your doc for a safe syrup.
