I've been craving lemon soda a lot lately, but I'm not sure if it's safe to drink during pregnancy. Is it okay to have it sometimes, or should I completely avoid it? Please share your experiences.
When I was staying at my parents' place, my mum used to make fresh shikanji with simple water instead of soda. Soda can make acidity worse, so homemade nimbu pani is much more comforting.
Since I had PCOS, I was super careful about sudden sugar spikes. A little bit of homemade lemon soda with very less sugar or just salt is fine, but don't overdo it daily.
Actually, I used to crave chilled nimbu soda a lot yaar during my first trimester. It really helped with my morning sickness, but I strictly avoided outside street vendors.
Haha, I panicked so hard when I accidentally drank a whole glass of sweet lime soda early on! Honestly it's absolutely fine, just don't have it on an empty stomach to avoid reflux.
I completely get why u are asking, I used to worry about every single drink too! Lemon soda is fine in moderation, just make sure the water and ice used are clean.
According to the pregnancy apps I tracked with, fresh lemon juice is great for nausea. Just try to limit the heavy carbonation and artificial syrups, homemade is much better.
