After lunch i really feel like having a cold drink, especially in this heat. but im 5 months pregnant and not sure if all that sugar and fizz is ok for baby. anyone else had soft drinks occasionally during preg?
Honestly yaar, try to avoid it. Actually, soft drinks have too much sugar and gas, which causes horrible acidity. Maybe a sip or two if you're craving like crazy.
Craving fizzy drinks is super common! Having a small glass once in a while is absolutely fine, but don't drink it daily because it can cause bloating and gas pain.
Haha, my baby was basically made of sneakily sipped Thums Up because of my constant morning sickness! But jokes aside, keep it to a minimum, too much gas is painful.
I accidentally drank half a can of Coke early on and panicked like crazy! My doc told me a little bit occasionally is fine, just don't make it a daily habit.
Better to skip them completely. The high sugar can lead to gestational diabetes and unnecessary weight gain. Chilled buttermilk or fresh lime juice is much safer.
Try to avoid them, dear. The caffeine and artificial sweeteners are not good for the little one. If you want something cold, try homemade coconut water sherbet.
