I've heard avocados are really good for health, and I'm trying to eat more nutritious foods. Is it safe to include avocado in my diet during early pregnancy? Please share your experiences.
According to my tracking apps, avocados are actually a superfood for the first trimester! They are loaded with folate and potassium which are great for baby's neural tube development. Try having it in a smoothie if u don't like the taste.
Oh I was literally terrified of eating anything "exotic" thinking it might cause heat! But then I did so much research and found out avocado is actually extremely safe and healthy. Just wash it properly before cutting, dont stress.
I am currently in my 2nd trimester and I ate so much avocado in my first few weeks because of the healthy fats. Did anyone else also get super paranoid about eating western fruits though? I kept googling everything!
Honestly, it's very healthy but sometimes quite expensive or hard to find fresh. If u can't find good ones, just eat regular ghee or almonds, they also give same healthy fats. No need to stress over one fancy fruit.
Mere ghar pe toh mummy and saas were a bit confused because it's a "foreign fruit" lol! But I told them it's just like butter fruit and very healthy. So I had it on toast, they were fine with it after that.
I've heard from my friends that avocado is amazing for fertility and early pregnancy too. I am trying to conceive right now and have started including it in my breakfast. Hope it helps us both!
