Ber season is on and i have such strong cravings for it. My mom says it's fine but my MIL says no. Im in my second trimester. is it actually safe to have?
Ber is just a fruit beta, washed well a few of them are fine and they're good for vitamin C too. We always had them in season. Only thing, wash them properly and don't eat sour-raw ones in large amounts if your stomach is sensitive. Nothing to fear about ber.
Ber itself is fine for most, but since I had sugar issues I watched my fruit portions and didn't have too many at once. For a normal pregnancy a handful washed well is okay. If you have any sugar concern, just keep the quantity moderate.
Of course you can eat ber. We grew up eating it. Just wash it nicely in clean water and eat fresh ones, not spoilt. A small bowl is perfectly fine, don't worry over it.
Yes, ber is fine in moderation. It's basically a fruit with vitamin C and fibre. Just wash it well since it's eaten with skin, and don't overdo the very sour ones if you get acidity. I ate them in both pregnancies happily.
