My MIL made cabbage sabzi today and then suddenly said pregnant ladies shouldn't have it, now im confused. I actually love patta gobhi so this is making me sad lol. Is there really any issue with it?
Cooked cabbage is fine, I just made sure to wash and cook it properly since raw greens can carry germs. Some people get gassy from it, so go moderate. Otherwise no issue at all.
We make cabbage poriyal often and I ate it cooked all through, no problem. Amma always said wash veggies well and cook them properly in pregnancy. That's the only real care needed.
Yes but always cooked well, wash it thoroughly first. I avoided raw cabbage in salads because of the cleaning concern. Cooked sabzi or in dishes is totally fine, I ate it through both pregnancies.
