My friend gave me alsi laddoo and said its very healthy. But someone else told me flaxseed is not good in pregnancy, ab im confused. Im in 2nd trimester, anyone has clarity on this?
Arey, why take a risk with warm-potency foods during this delicate time? If you really crave it, just have a tiny pinch or better to avoid it till delivery.
My pregnancy tracker app says raw flaxseeds should be avoided because of phytoestrogens, but a little bit of roasted seed powder is okay. Best to consult your gynac once to be sure of the daily limit.
Flaxseeds contain phytoestrogens which can interfere with pregnancy hormones in high doses. My doctor explicitly told me to avoid concentrated flaxseed oil, though a tiny bit of roasted powder is fine.
I am trying to conceive and my mother-in-law advised me to be careful with flaxseeds because they generate internal heat. Maybe ask your doctor before eating them.
