Morning sickness is bad and i can only manage light stuff, so was thinking of having kelloggs with milk for breakfast. Im in first trimester. Is it fine to eat daily or not really?
Haan, bilkul kha sakte ho, koi problem nahi hai. Bas jo extra sugar wale aate hain na, chocolate or strawberry flavors, unhe thoda avoid karo. Normal cornflakes mein thoda honey and fruits daal ke khao, mast lagta hai!
Kellogg's is fine but try to pick the whole grain or ragi options instead of the highly sugary chocolate ones. I used to add chia seeds and almonds to mine for that extra protein boost. It kept me full and helped with bowel movements too.
In our house, ragi porridge or traditional idli is preferred for breakfast, which my mother always made. But my doctor said occasional Kellogg's cornflakes is perfectly fine if you like it. Just try to add some chopped nuts on top for extra nutrition.
My doctor actually explained that packaged cereals can be eaten, but we must check the label for iron and folate fortification. Some variants have too much refined sugar which isn't good. Pairing it with pasteurized milk is highly recommended for calcium.
Honestly, I panicked when my cousin said packaged food like cornflakes is bad for baby, but my gynac cleared it up instantly. It's totally fine to eat them! Just don't replace your whole diet with it, keep it balanced.
I felt so lazy during my first trimester to cook anything, so Kellogg's with cold milk was my absolute savior. It was easy to digest when nothing else stayed down. Just make sure to check the sugar content of the flavor you choose.
