Summer is here and im craving kharbuja so badly yaar. My MIL says cut fruits ke chakkar me dont overdo it but didnt really say no. Is muskmelon safe in pregnancy or should I avoid?
My gynac said muskmelon is great, lots of vitamin A and folate. Only thing she told me was to eat it fresh cut and washed well because melons can carry bacteria on the skin if not cleaned.
I ate kharbuja almost daily in my last trimester, I felt so refreshed with it in this heat. It really helped me stay hydrated when I couldnt drink much water.
Haan beta kharbuja is very good, full of water and keeps you cool especially in summer. Just wash it properly and cut fresh, dont keep cut melon in fridge for long, that part my mother always warned about.
Kharbuja is cheap and good in season so it was my go to fruit. Filling, hydrating and easy on the pocket. Just buy a properly ripe one and cut it yourself instead of pre cut from outside.
