My grandmother makes a chutney from mehendi leaves and was offering it saying its cooling for the body. I have never heard of eating them in pregnancy and got a little unsure. Anyone knows if its safe?
In my village ladies put mehendi on hands during pregnancy, that is normal. But eating the leaves, no one did that. Please ask your daktar before you eat any leaf.
I have not heard of eating mehendi leaves being safe, honestly. Applying henna on hands is one thing but eating leaves is different. Please just confirm with your gynac before trying anything like this.
Beta we never ate mehendi leaves, only used it on hands and hair. Eating the leaves is not something I would suggest at all. For anything to eat, better ask your doctor first.
I would be very careful with eating any random leaf during pregnancy. Just because something is natural doesnt mean it is safe to eat now. Run it past your gynac, that is the safest way.
