Better to avoid outside paan, u never know how clean the leaves are and infection means extra hospital rounds and expensive tests. We already have so many delivery expenses to plan, why take risks with street food? If you crave it, just chew a little saunf and mishri at home, safe and free!
Haha, I would have eaten anything during my pregnancy just to get some sleep! But seriously, if you are having paan, please ensure there's no kattha or supari in it, they are not good for the baby. Now my baby keeps me awake all night, so enjoy your cravings while you can!
Yes, normal meetha paan is okay occasionally but strictly avoid supari or tobacco. I usually don't post much but just wanted to say take care and stay safe.
I am currently trying to conceive and learning so many new things daily. My MIL mentioned that clean betel leaf actually helps with digestion, but we must avoid supari completely. It sounds logical but I will still ask the doc when the time comes.
Oh god, I had such a huge craving for meetha paan in my second trimester! I asked my family and they said normal plain paan without supari or tobacco is fine once in a while. Honestly, that sweet gulkand taste was pure heaven for my mood swings!
Since I had PCOS, my pregnancy was already a bit high-risk so I was super careful about everything I ate. I avoided paan because sometimes they add weird chemical essences or kattha. If you do eat, make sure it is totally clean and simple ghar ka paan.
