I occasionally enjoy having paan, especially after meals. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm not sure if it's okay to continue. Is it safe to eat paan during pregnancy?
I craved meetha paan so much in my third trimester. My doctor told me a plain betel leaf with saunf and gulkand is totally fine once in a while, but strictly no tobacco or betel nut (supari). It actually helped with my acidity sometimes!
Haan, sadha meetha paan kha sakte ho par bina supari aur chuna ke. Humare yahan toh digestion ke liye paan ka patta chabane ko bolte hain, bas usme nasha ya katha nahi hona chahiye.
Better to avoid regular paan because of supari and chemical colors, plus unnecessary dental issues which mean more doctor bills. If you really crave it, make a simple meetha paan at home with just gulkand and saunf, it's cheaper and safer.
At my parents' house, my mom used to give me a small piece of plain paan patta with some saunf after heavy meals to help with digestion. But she was very strict about no supari or kattha.
After my IVF, I was extremely cautious about everything I ate. I avoided paan altogether because of the added supari and artificial sweeteners. If you do crave it, please make sure it's 100% clean and simple, or just check with your doctor.
I am in my 18th week and actually had a crazy craving for meetha paan yesterday! But then I got scared thinking if the leaf or gulkand is safe. Did any of you eat plain meetha paan during your second trimester?
Meetha paan occasional khana thik hai digest karne ke liye, but usme supari ya tobacco bilkul nahi hona chahiye. Supari baby ke liye safe nahi hoti. Gulkand wala plain paan chalega kabhi kabhi.
