My MIL got some palm jaggery from her village and keeps telling me to have a piece daily. I usually like it but just want to confirm its okay now that im pregnant. Anyone had it during these months?
It's healthier than refined sugar but at the end it's still sugar, so if u have any sugar issue like me, be very careful with amount. My dietician allowed only a tiny bit. For others a little is fine.
Haan beta, palm jaggery (taal gud) is good in small amount, our elders gave it for iron and to keep body warm. Better than white sugar for sure. Bas thoda hi, zyada meetha kisi ko bhi accha nahi.

We use palm jaggery a lot down south, it's nice and has some iron. Small quantity is totally fine during pregnancy da. If u have sugar concerns just confirm the amount with ur doctor once.
