My MIL keeps adding kesar in my milk every night saying it makes the baby fair and healthy. Im in 4th month and honestly thoda confused if its actually safe ya just an old saas thing. Anyone here was told by their gynac its ok?
I am in my 5th month now and honestly even I was so confused about this. My MIL told me to start having it with milk for baby's complexion, but does it really change the color? I only put 2 strands just to be safe but would love to know if anyone noticed any difference!
If you are having it with milk, just make sure you dont add extra sugar or sweetener, especially if you are tracking your glucose levels. I had gestational diabetes and had to be super careful with my diet. Kesar itself is fine but watch what you mix it with!
In our family, elders always say to start kesar milk after the first trimester is over. I checked with my doctor first and she also said the same thing, just a few strands is perfectly healthy. It actually helps with sleep and digestion, so u can have it but talk to your gynac once.
Dekho, kesar is not a magic potion to make baby fair, that is just an old myth. But yes, a little bit in warm milk is good for your mood and sleep. Just don't eat spoonfuls of it, only 2-3 threads are enough daily.
Listen, saffron is totally fine but just keep it to 2-3 strands max in milk. My husband is a doctor and he always says moderation is key for everything in pregnancy. Too much can cause heat in the body, so dont overdo it.
