Singhara is in season and my mom made a sabzi but my MIL stopped me saying its not good in pregnancy. Im 5 months along. Is there any truth to this or is it just an old belief?
We dont eat it much in our region but my north Indian friend had it through pregnancy happily. The main thing is it should be clean and well cooked. If your tummy agrees with it, enjoy it.
Beta singhara is considered good and cooling in our homes, we ate it often. Take it boiled or as fresh as possible, avoid raw. In moderation it is nice and gentle.
Haan singhara is fine na, especially the fresh boiled ones. I used to have them in winters, very light on the tummy. Just make sure they are properly cleaned and cooked.
