I'm 18 weeks and we have a family wedding out of state next month, so booking flights ho gaya but now im thinking was that ok. Mostly feeling fine, no issues so far. Anyone travelled by plane during pregnancy, was it fine for u?
Actually I traveled in my fifth month because of some urgent work. I just made sure to walk a bit in the aisle and drank lots of water. But please ask your own doc once before booking, i only did what mine allowed.
Honestly after my previous loss, I just didn't want to take any chance at all so I completely avoided flying. If it is not very urgent, maybe think about avoiding it, or at least get a proper checkup from your gynac before deciding. Safety first always.
I also had PCOS history so I was super scared about everything, honestly. Gynac told me 2nd trimester is usually safe to fly but advised taking short flights only. Better not to take any risk without consulting your doctor first, everyone's body is different na.
Mere case mein, parents wanted me to come home for delivery so I took a flight in my 6th month. It was quite comfortable but my mom made sure I carried a pillow for back support. It is always better to keep family and doctor in loop before you plan.
I flew during my second trimester and had to carry all my diabetic-friendly snacks like nuts and seeds because airport food is so unpredictable. If your gynac gives the green light, just make sure u manage your meals and stay hydrated throughout the flight.
