Im a bit confused about the timing thing. We missed the days before ovulation this month but were together a day after. Is there still a chance or did we miss the window completely?

The egg only lives about a day after ovulation, so the chance drops sharply right after. The fertile window is mostly the days before and the day of ovulation. Timing it around then gives the best shot.
Just gently, with PCOS my ovulation was unpredictable so the standard timing didn't apply to me. My doctor helped track it properly. So if your cycles are irregular, don't go only by the usual rule.
My tracker showed the fertile window as a few days leading up to ovulation plus the day itself. After that the odds fall fast. The apps and ovulation kits really helped me time it right.
