I genuinely live on cheese, like in sandwiches, pasta, everything. Now im pregnant and read somewhere that some cheeses are not safe and got worried. Are all of them off limits or just certain types?
My doctor said hard and processed cheeses made from pasteurised milk are fine, but to avoid soft unpasteurised ones. So check the label before buying. I stuck to the regular pasteurised stuff and had no issues.
Most everyday cheeses are okay, the main thing is avoiding raw or unpasteurised varieties. If you're ever unsure about a fancy cheese, just ask your gynac. Better to confirm than guess.
