I love curd with almost every meal but my granny says avoid it now esp in evenings, she thinks it causes cold n cough. Im in 2nd trimester. Is curd really okay to have daily?
Curd actually settled my queasy stomach during the sick weeks. Cool and light, easy to keep down when nothing else stayed. I'd mix a little with rice. Worth a try if nausea is bugging you.
Beta curd is very good, helps with acidity and keeps the gut happy. Our elders just say dont eat it late at night and avoid the very cold one. A nice bowl of dahi with lunch is perfect.
Haan ma, curd rice was my comfort food the whole pregnancy, so soothing for the stomach. Family always encouraged it. Homemade fresh dahi is best, just not chilled directly from fridge.
Of course, curd is great in pregnancy, good for digestion and calcium. I had a bowl daily. Just have it fresh and not ice cold from the fridge, room temp is better on the tummy.
