Sitaphal season is here and I love it, but now pregnancy makes me doubt every fruit. I am in second trimester and sugar report was okay last time. Did anyone eat custard apple?
Beta custard apple is actually good, it has iron and helps with energy. Some elders say not too much because its sweet and cooling, so eat a moderate amount. In season fruit is always nice.
Its safe but it is high in natural sugar, so if you have any sugar issues like I did, keep the portion small. For a normal pregnancy a piece is fine and quite nutritious.
Yes sitaphal is fine in moderation, its rich in fibre and vitamins. My amma made sure I had fruit daily. Just dont eat a huge amount at once since its quite sweet, otherwise enjoy it.
