Haan na, even I used to love green tea. My doc said limit it because too much can block folic acid absorption. Better to stick to normal milk tea or just 1 small cup.
You can have it, but limit to just one cup a day because it has caffeine. Personally, I shifted to warm ginger water or plain lemon water which is much safer and helps with digestion too.
My nutritionist at the hospital suggested avoiding excessive green tea especially in the first trimester. If you really want it, keep it very light and limit to once a day.
Keep it to maximum one cup daily, preferably not right after meals. It interferes with iron absorption which we really need. Direct and simple—don't overdo it.
