Its kathal season and my husband got a whole one home, i love it so much. But my neighbour aunty made a face and said its not good in pregnancy. Now im scared to eat. Is it really a problem?
Beta in our times elders said avoid too much kathal as it can cause gas and heaviness. Small amount is okay. Just dont eat a lot in one go, your tummy is sensitive now.
Yes you can have ripe jackfruit in moderation, its safe. Its just sweet so dont eat a huge amount. The raw jackfruit sabzi is also fine, cooked well. The myth that it causes miscarriage is not true.
Ripe jackfruit is quite sugary so i was careful with it because of my sugar levels. If your sugar is fine, a few pieces are okay. Just keep the portion small.
We eat a lot of chakka at home, i had it in small portions and it was fine. Family says not too much, and i agree. If you have any food restriction from your doctor, follow that.
