My MIL bought a whole papaya yesterday and now im scared to even touch it. I keep hearing it's not safe but ripe wala bhi nahi? Im in my second trimester, someone pls clear this for me.
Better to avoid it dear, just to be on the safer side. You can have apples or pomegranates instead for nutrition. Take care of yourself and don't take unnecessary stress.
Omg I have been craving ripe papaya so much in my second trimester but I'm too scared to eat it! Everyone at home keeps saying no papaya at all, even ripe ones. Did you guys also avoid it completely or is a little bit of ripe papaya okay?
If you are eating ripe papaya, please keep a check on the portion size because it can spike sugar levels. I had gestational diabetes and my doctor told me to stick to fruits with lower glycemic index. It is always best to discuss your diet plan with your doctor.
Arre bilkul mat khao raw papaya toh! Ripe wala thoda chal jata hai par humare ghar pe toh bade-budhe bilkul mana karte hain pregnancy me papaya khane se. Safest hai ki abhi mat khao na, delivery ke baad khub khana.
I only eat fully ripe papaya sometimes when I'm super constipated, but in very small portions. Honestly, keeping up with my daily 30-min slow walks (which my doctor allowed after 1st trimester) helps way more with digestion. Please ask your doc before trying any new foods or starting yoga/walking.
Please be very careful with papaya. I had severe spotting in my first pregnancy so my doctor strictly told me to avoid papaya completely, whether ripe or unripe. It's always safer to just double check with your gynac first before eating it.
Ripe papaya is actually totally fine to eat and gives good vitamins, but make sure it is fully ripe. Unripe or semi-ripe papaya has latex which can cause contractions, so better to avoid that completely. Just ask your gynac once if u are still feeling doubtful.
