Im in my 6th month and at work sometimes i cant get to the washroom immediately so i end up holding it for a while. Now im worried if that's bad for me or baby. Is holding urine actually harmful in pregnancy?
No yaar, please dont hold it. Holding urine can cause infection which is common in pregnancy anyway. Go whenever you feel the urge, even if its every 20 minutes.
I got a UTI in my second trimester partly because I used to hold it at work. It was really uncomfortable and needed treatment. Please dont hold, and if you feel burning while peeing tell your doctor.
I know in office it feels like a hassle but seriously dont hold it. Frequent peeing is normal in pregnancy and holding just invites infection. Keep going as needed.
