We play badminton in our society in the evenings and i dont want to fully stop being active. Im 16 weeks now. Is light shuttle ok or should i avoid the running and jumping part? Pls share.
Your body is carrying a delicate new life right now, and it needs gentle care and protection. Sports like shuttle involve rapid movements and jerks, which might not be safe for the baby. Focus on keeping your mind calm and doing simple walks instead.
Even if you are very active, high-intensity sports like shuttle are risky because of the sudden lunges and stretching. I wanted to continue my gym workouts, but my doctor strictly allowed only gentle prenatal yoga and slow walking after the first trimester. Definitely consult your gynac before stepping onto the court.
Playing shuttle/badminton is generally too aggressive because of the jumping, sudden turns, and risk of tripping. Your center of gravity changes during pregnancy, which makes falling very easy. Better to avoid it completely and stick to safer, low-impact cardio or just casual walks.
Haha, please don't! The amount of lunging and running around in shuttle is way too much for your pelvic area right now. You don't want to lose your balance and go flying, especially with a baby bump. Save the badminton tournament for after delivery!
I had a very high-risk pregnancy with early bleeding, so my doctor had put me on complete physical restriction. Sports like shuttle have a high risk of falls or abdominal strain, which can be very dangerous. Please do not play unless your doctor has specifically cleared you for it.
