Im in my first trimester and honestly both me and hubby are a little scared to be intimate. Worried it might harm the baby this early. Did anyone ask their gynac about this? would love to hear what you were told.
In a normal healthy pregnancy it's generally fine. But if you have any history of bleeding, low lying placenta or threatened miscarriage, your doctor may ask you to avoid it. Ask your gynac about your own case to be safe.
I'd say please check with your doctor first. In my early pregnancy I had some spotting so my gynac told us to avoid it for a few weeks. Every pregnancy is different so dont just go by general advice.
For most uncomplicated pregnancies doctors say it's safe. But if you ever notice bleeding or cramps after, stop and call your gynac. When in doubt, just ask at your next visit, they hear this question all the time.
