Can we sit cross legged on floor during pregnancy?
I usually sit cross-legged on the floor at home, but my mother-in-law told me not to now that I'm pregnant. Can we sit cross-legged on the floor during pregnancy, or is it better to avoid it?
Yes absolutely, sitting cross-legged is completely fine and even recommended for pelvis flexibility. Just use a small cushion under your hips if you feel too much pressure on your lower back. Listen to your body and don't overdo it.
Haan gudiya, tum aaram se baith sakti ho zameen par crossed legs karke. Bas dhyan rakhna ki back straight ho aur pair so na jayein. Agar uthne mein thodi bhi takleef ho toh sofe par baithna hi better hai, khud ko zyada strain mat karo.
Honestly, I used to sit cross-legged on the floor almost daily during my pregnancy and it really helped during my normal delivery. It keeps your pelvic muscles strong. Just make sure your back has some support like a wall or cushion.
Arre bilkul baith sakte ho, hum Indian ladies toh hamesha se zameen pe hi baithti aayi hain! Don't worry baby niche press nahi ho jayega, bas uthte waqt kisi ka hath pakad lena warna balance khone ka darr rehta hai.
Sitting cross-legged actually helps open up your hips, which is great if your doctor has allowed light prenatal yoga. But make sure you don't sit like that for too long if your legs start getting numb. Keep changing your posture and do simple walks.
I understand how every little movement makes us anxious, especially after a long journey to get pregnant. Sitting cross-legged is generally very safe, but please do it gently and with support. Take deep breaths and go slow, you are doing great.
