We have indian toilet at home and i naturally squat a lot for cooking and cleaning na. Now that im pregnant my MIL keeps telling me not to. Is it really a problem or am i overthinking?
Be a little careful here. I had a low lying placenta so my doctor told me to avoid deep squats and heavy bending. So it really depends on your case, better confirm with your gynac before.
Beta in our time women squatted for everything and it kept the body active for delivery. But your bodies are different now with desk jobs, so do it slow and gentle, and ask your doctor if you feel any pulling.
Haan thoda squat chalega na, our elders anyway sat like that for kitchen work. Bas balance ka dhyan rakhna and dont stay down too long. Knees thoda sambhal ke.
I used to squat for small chores and even our prenatal class said gentle squatting is good for normal delivery. Just hold something for support so you dont lose balance. Felt fine for me.
My prenatal yoga instructor had us do supported squats but only after the doc cleared me. It opens the pelvis nicely. Pls dont start any new pose without your gynac okay, especially if you have any issue.
