I have a bad throat infection going on and im 11 weeks. The doctor at the clinic gave me a course but i didnt tell him properly that im pregnant, now im worried. Want to confirm with my gynac before i start anything. Has anyone taken antibiotics while pregnant?
Please dont take any antibiotic on your own in pregnancy. Some are totally safe, some are absolutely not. I had an infection and my gynac gave me a specific safe one. Always go through your doctor, dont self medicate.
Some antibiotics are safe in pregnancy, doctors prescribe them when really needed. But never pick up one yourself from medical store. Both my pregnancies the doc chose pregnancy-safe ones for me.
Yeah they can be given, but it really depends which one and which trimester. Some are a clear no. Just tell your gynac your symptoms and let her decide the right one, dont guess.
