Caught a bad cold and cough and someone at home suggested this. But im 14 weeks pregnant and dont want to take anything without knowing if its safe. Planning to ask my gynac but wanted to hear if others have taken it.
I wouldnt take any cough syrup or antihistamine on my own during pregnancy. When I had a bad cough, I just called my gynac and she told me what was safe for me. Please ask ur doctor before taking benadryl, dont go by what worked for someone else.
Some antihistamines are considered okay in pregnancy but it depends on ur stage and health, so its not a yes or no I can give. The safest thing is to confirm with ur own doctor before taking it. They know whats right for ur case.
Medicines in pregnancy are really a doctor only decision. Some are okay in certain trimesters and not others. Please dont self prescribe benadryl, just message or call ur gynac, they will tell u quickly.
Apne aap koi bhi dawai mat lo na, especially pregnancy mein. Haan doctor se pooch lo, ek call mein bata denge benadryl theek hai ya nahi. Better to be safe.
