Had a bad headache yesterday and almost took a disprin out of habit before i stopped myself. Now im not sure if its safe in pregnancy. Will ask my gynac before taking anything but wanted to know what u all do for headaches.
I never took any painkiller without asking my gynac, especially aspirin based ones. They can affect bleeding. Whatever the pain, please call your doctor and use only what they approve. Better safe than sorry.
Generally aspirin like Disprin is avoided in pregnancy unless a doctor specifically prescribes a low dose for a reason. For everyday aches the doctor usually suggests a safer alternative. Best to make a quick call to your gynac before taking anything.
Disprin has aspirin, so please dont take it on your own during pregnancy. The low dose aspirin some women get is a totally different prescribed thing. For a headache or pain, ask your doctor what is safe rather than reaching for Disprin.
