We have a family function out of town next month and it's around 4 hrs by road. Im in my second tri and feeling okay mostly. Just want to know if long car travel is fine or i should avoid, a bit nervous about the bumps.
Mostly its fine, but since I had some issues I always asked my doctor before long journeys. If u have any complications or it's near ur due date, just confirm with ur gynac first.
Yes u can, just wear ur seatbelt properly, lap belt under the bump. Take breaks every 1-2 hours to stretch and pee. I travelled plenty, just avoid very long bumpy rides if u can.
I did my office commute by car till the end honestly. Keep water and a snack, stop to walk a bit on long trips, and dont sit cramped for hours. Totally doable with small breaks.
