We have a family function out of station next month and i'll be in my 5th month then. Its like a 6 hr car journey. Mera mann hai to go but thoda tension also. Anyone travelled around this time, was it ok?
Honestly, fifth month is quite safe but my MIL was very strict about not going on bumpy roads. We did a short road trip but kept a cushion behind my back just like my mother suggested.
It is okay to travel if your doctor clears it, just drink coconut water to stay hydrated. But if you feel even a little bit of cramps or spotting, cancel everything and see your gynac immediately.
Fifth month is usually the safest time to travel, but please sit comfortably and take breaks. I traveled a bit too much back then and ended up with bad back pain, which made my post C-section recovery even more tiring.
Haha travel now while you can, because once the baby comes, even going to the grocery store feels like planning a trip to Mars! Just keep your travel light and take plenty of rest stops.
