My gynac mentioned calcium last visit but i forgot to ask the details properly. So many friends say they took it from 2nd trimester onwards. Just want to understand when and how its usually taken, anyone?
Calcium supplements are pretty standard in pregnancy, the doctor will tell u when to start. The only thing is dont take calcium and iron tablets together, space them out since they interfere with absorption. Always go with ur doctors prescription though.
Haan ji doctor gives calcium to almost everyone in pregnancy. I used to take mine at night after dinner like the doctor said. Bones and baby both need it na. Just follow what ur doctor writes for u.
Yes calcium is usually prescribed in pregnancy, my doctor started it in my second trimester both times. Just take the one ur gynac prescribed and at the time they told, dont buy random ones off the shelf. They also told me to take calcium and iron at different times of day.
Totally fine and usually needed. I set a reminder on my app to take calcium at night and iron in the morning because they shouldnt be taken together. Stick to ur prescribed dose, dont over supplement on ur own.
