We werent fully careful right before my period was due and now im a bit worried. I always thought those days are safe but not so sure anymore. Is it actually possible thoda close to period? pls help.
I totally understand how confusing these cycle dates can be when you are trying or worrying! While biologically it is very rare to conceive just 2 days before your period because the fertile window has passed, it can happen if your cycle got delayed. Sending you a warm hug, try not to stress too much about the dates.
The chances are very, very low if you have regular periods because ovulation happens around the middle of your cycle. 🌸 But if your periods are irregular, you can never be 100% sure about when you ovulate. So yes, it is rare but definitely possible! 😊
If your periods are like clockwork, the window 2 days before your period is generally very 'safe' as ovulation is long over. But if your cycle is irregular or stretched, you might ovulate much later than you think, making pregnancy possible. If you had unprotected sex and your period is late, do a test after a week to be sure.
In a normal 28-day cycle, it's highly unlikely because you ovulate about two weeks before your period and the egg only survives for 24 hours. But bodies aren't machines, and if you ovulated very late or have irregular cycles, it can actually happen. If you suspect anything, just wait a week and do a simple home test.
I'm in my 3rd trimester now and can barely remember my cycle dates, but honestly, unless your periods are super irregular, the answer is usually no. Ovulation happens way earlier in the cycle. But hey, our bodies love to play tricks on us, so never say never, haha!
