Me and my husband were not careful during my periods and now im second guessing everything. Is it actually possible to get pregnant that way? someone pls clear this for me.
My gynac said for women with short cycles, ovulation can come soon after the period, and since sperm survives up to 5 days, conception is possible. Its not common but it can happen. She told me not to rely on period days as protection.
Its less likely but not impossible, especially if you have short cycles. Sperm can live a few days so sex during the period could overlap with early ovulation. So dont assume its a totally safe time.
