Can you detect pregnancy with a pelvic ultrasound?
Doc has asked me for a pelvic ultrasound for some other reason but my period is also late. Im wondering if it will show pregnancy if i am? Just curious how early it can be seen on scan.
I have heard from my friends that a pelvic scan can confirm it very clearly after 5 or 6 weeks of your period date. We are also hoping to go for one soon if we get our positive this cycle. Wish you all the best.
They can definitely detect it, but make sure you are at least 6 weeks along otherwise you might get anxious if they can't see the heartbeat yet. I drove myself crazy googling everything when my early scan was unclear. Just wait a bit and let the doctor do the scan when the time is right.
Yes babe, you can totally see the gestational sac on a pelvic ultrasound once you are around 5 to 6 weeks. Don't stress too much if it's too early and they only see a tiny dot, it takes a little time to show up clearly!
I panicked so much when my first pelvic scan at 5 weeks showed nothing but a thick lining! But my doctor told me it was just too early, and when I went back a week later, we saw the tiny sac and heartbeat. So don't worry if it's too early, it is completely normal.
Yes, they can! I went for my scan after dealing with crazy middle-of-the-night cravings for spicy pav bhaji, and there it was—a tiny little bean on the screen! It's such a magical moment to finally see it.
